Position Summary:

·         Aid in the development of activities within shelter programs by mobilizing community stakeholders. 

 

Primary Job Duties:

  1. Collaborate with team members about volunteer opportunities within shelter programs.
  2. Motivate community members to become involved with supporting shelter activities.
  3. Responsible for enriching individual experiences in Naomi House, Village of Hope, Men's Residential Rehabilitation, and Hope Family Shelter.
  4. Network with community partners and volunteers by organizing specialized workshops, educational classes, and wellness sessions.
  5. Fulfill liaison duties between shelter programs and community engagement by effectively communicating with staff.
  6. Empower a growth mindset for those facing adversity in shelter programs by inspiring hope and resilience. 

Secondary Job Duties:

  1. Articulate and promote Poverello House's mission and legacy. 
  2. Maintain a working knowledge of available community resources.
  3. Utilize Salesforce as a client relationship management software to track communications with households and organizational accounts. 
  4. Display a willingness to learn and seek ongoing training toward professional development.
  5. Other duties, as relevant and assigned by assigned supervisors.
