Community Engagement Fellow

Position Summary:

·         Aid in the development of volunteer projects and community relations.

 

Primary Job Duties:

1.           Enhance community relationships with partners looking to get involved with volunteerism and awareness campaigns.

2.           Recruit volunteers by promoting opportunities in workplaces, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, and educational institutions.

3. Conduct campus tours and new volunteer orientations.
4. Utilize CERVIS as the software to manage volunteers by tracking service activities, regulating opportunities, and strategic communication.

5.           Utilize Salesforce as a client relationship management software to track communications with households and organizational accounts. 

6.         Maintain an online media presence to share engagement opportunities through VolunteerMatch, JustServe, LinkedIn, and other digital community bulletin boards. 

7. Build positive rapport by learning volunteers' interests, goals, skill sets, and affiliations.
8. Display a willingness to jump into various volunteer projects to ensure quality control and provide continuous training opportunities. 

Secondary Job Duties:

1. Articulate and promote Poverello House's mission and legacy.
2. Display a willingness to learn and seek ongoing training toward professional development.
3. Other duties, as relevant and assigned by assigned supervisors.
