Airport Welcome Volunteers

 

 

Volunteer position description:  Volunteers will greet incoming families from Puerto Rico to welcome them to Central Florida on behalf of Catholic Charities, as well as to connect them with programs that may assist them with needs such as food assistance and financial assistance.

 

Schedule requirements: This position is available M-F 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm. Volunteers will contact Julio Rivera to choose their own shifts in at least 3 hour increments.

 

Commitment requirements: Volunteers must commit to at least one 3 hour shift; ideally volunteers will commit to a weekly or bi-weekly shift from now through November 28.

 

Qualifications: Volunteers should be passionate about the mission of Catholic Charities of Central Florida to embrace all those in need with hope, transforming their lives through faith, compassion, and service. Volunteers will also need to be compassionate, culturally sensitive, and ideally an effective communicator in both English and Spanish.

 

Age Restrictions:  This position is open to volunteers ages 18 and older.

 

Volunteer Supervisor: Volunteers will report to Julio Rivera, Emergency Services Manager
