Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is seeking individuals interested in volunteering for the Mordecai Garden Volunteer program. This is an ongoing, year-long opportunity.

Volunteers will work alongside the Mordecai Historic Park’s gardener to assist in keeping the grounds beautiful for all to enjoy. Garden volunteers may also assist with additional areas of the park landscape.

Responsibilities may include planting and harvesting heirloom vegetables and herbs, planting spring and winter annual beds and seasonal bulbs, as well as related tasks such as pruning, weeding, deadheading, seed collection, watering, and more. Volunteer workdays will occur on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – noon based on staff's availability.
