Opportunity Name:
Animal Welfare - Volunteer

Description:

Currently you must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. Ages 12-17 may volunteer along with a caregiver who is at least 18 years old.

Gwinnett Animal Welfare relies heavily on volunteers, whether you can help for an hour or all day it makes a difference to the welfare of the animals in our care. There are many volunteer opportunities from helping the public or behind the scenes where laundry runs constantly and washing baskets of feed bowls. All volunteers will be with a senior shelter volunteer or staff to start their volunteer activities.

Our volunteer program continues to grow and is a necessary part of everyday life at the Bill Atkinson Animal Welfare Center. Serving as a volunteer is extremely rewarding, educational and fun. Our volunteers are committed, caring individuals who positively impact the lives of our animals. The valuable support and service they provide is truly appreciated by the animals, staff, and visitors.

All Gwinnett County volunteers are required to agree and complete the waiver/release form before participation in any volunteer project or event. E-mail your completed waiver/release form to the Event Organizer for approval to Barbara.Kettles@GwinnettCounty.com and Lisa.Howell@GwinnettCounty.com

This volunteer opportunity is not eligible for court-ordered community service hours.
