Service Project Details

We love out Teen Volunteers! Teen Volunteers are critical to the success of our Discovery Summer Camp. Teen Volunteers assist in supervision of children ages 6-12 years old with developmental disabilities while engaged in swimming, art, music, games, special events and excursions. Duties may also include set-up and clean-up of activities and support camp staff. Please view the TRP video which explains the overall mission of the program and the variety of activities which are offered.

Training (tentatively) will be June 3-5, 2024. Program operates Monday-Thursday; June 10 - July 25; 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. No camp on Fridays or July 3-7. We are flexible with our teen volunteer time commitment, but do request that teens volunteer (at least) 2 days per week. We do restrict Teen Volunteers to no more than 3 working days per week due to the nature of the program.

Teen Volunteer applicants will complete this volunteer application and will then be contacted to schedule a phone or Zoom screening call to determine eligibility. Interviews will be conducted around May.
