Volunteer with Food Bank of Alaska's Advocacy Team (Virtual)

Registration for this project is not open for self-registration. Please contact the project organizer listed below for assistance with registration for this project.

Project Description:

Food Bank of Alaska works to educate elected officials about the impact of food insecurity in their communities and identify solutions to put struggling families on the road to healthy, hunger-free lives.

You can help us advocate for programs and policies that bring relief to individuals and families struggling to get by. Together we can impact public policy decisions and create positive change for those in our community who are hungry.

If you'd like to receive volunteer hours for your service time with Advocacy, please email volunteer@foodbankofalaska.org with a description of your involvement and how long you participated (15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour). The hours will be entered into your volunteer account.

Action Alerts and Newsletter
Volunteers help advocate for programs and policies that bring relief to those struggling with food insecurity. Food Bank of Alaska emails an Action Alert when support for particular legislation is needed. Food Bank of Alaska also sends Advocacy Newsletters that includes the latest policy and program updates, along with other ways to get involved and educated. Sign up here!
