Volunteering for Gwinnett County Home Delivered Meals is a great way to make a huge impact in a short amount of time. By delivering meals to senior clients, you will be providing nutritious food and a friendly visit to senior citizens in your community. The service is designed to help provide seniors with the support that empowers them to age in place.

 

Tasks: Delivering Home Delivered Meals to Gwinnett County Health and Human Services senior clients. Meals are delivered throughout Gwinnett County between the hours of 9am – 2pm, Monday – Friday, depending on the route assigned.

 

Qualifications: This program requires a weekly regular service, long-term commitment, and Federal Fingerprinting background process as volunteers need to visit local senior clients’ homes. Volunteer must have a reliable source of transportation and a valid driver’s license. Volunteer should be able to lift 5-10 lb. bag and should be able to climb stairs if necessary. This assignment is not eligible for volunteers who require court-ordered community service hours and weekend and evening opportunities are unavailable.
