Service Project Details

The YWCA Central Area Food Bank serves over 300 families each week. This service takes a great deal of volunteer support, therefore our food bank is always in need of ongoing, regular volunteers to help meet the need. Our Wednesday team is currently seeking long term volunteers for the following shift:

Wednesday Crew

9:00am – noon Packing Crew: 1^st team filling 300+ bags of food for delivery

For warehouse & packing shifts volunteers are asked to dress in layers of comfy clothes that can get dirty. Work is done mostly outside, in any weather, and temperatures vary. Bring a water bottle and a face mask. Masks may be required when working indoors and volunteers should be vaccinated against covid-19.
