Service Project Details

The unit staging team helps acquire, sort, and place furnishings into vacant apartments in preparation for a new tenant. Most of the tenants who move into our housing programs are coming out of homelessness and have few to no possessions. Through our network of donors we are able to provide furnishings, bedding, kitchen and bathroom necessities, cleaning supplies sometimes even decor, in these units to provide a fresh start for the new tenants and eliminate the need to drain financial resources buying items we all need.

Members of this team will help collect, sort, store, and prepare items in our South Seattle warehouse, and will also assist in the transport and set up of vacant units.

Hours are often sporadic and flexible. Volunteers should be able to lift at least 20 pounds and be able to carry items up stairs.
