Animal Welfare - Dog Day Out

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement's (AWE) Dog Day Out program!

 

This program allows companies, organizations clubs who would like to do a day of service the option to spend quality time with shelter dogs outside their kennels for exercise, training, and enrichment. Volunteers will work alongside AWE staff to ensure the dogs have a safe and enjoyable experience.

 

Volunteer Details:

- Available only for businesses, organizations, and service clubs to participate 
- Participants must be 18 years or older and complete a liability waiver prior to the day of the program
- Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and no jewelry 
- Follow all training instructions from AWE staff and keep animals on a leash at all times
- No personal pets allowed
