Project Description:

Volunteer position title: Lake Wales Agape Mission Market Volunteer

 

Volunteer position description:  The food pantry volunteer assists by unpacking food, and storing it on the shelves of the food pantry. The volunteer ensures that the pantry shelves are stocked, and boxes broken down transported to the appropriate area. The volunteer also maintains the cleanliness of the pantry, by providing light cleaning duties.

 

Responsibilities may include:

-Unpack and stock pantry shelves with nonperishable food items

-Pack bags of food

-Light vacuuming and shelf cleaning required

-Ensure Room/refrigerator temperatures are appropriate for food storage

 

Schedule requirements: This position is available Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. / 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. and  Friday, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

 

Commitment requirements: There are not commitment requirements for this position. Volunteers can sign up for individual shifts as their schedule permits.

 

Qualifications:

-No previous experience required

-Must be able to lift at least at least 40 lbs.

 

Age Restrictions:  Available to volunteers 18 years of age and older, and volunteers 10-17 with adult supervision. Volunteers under age 18 must also have a Youth Liability Waiver on file.

 

Volunteer Supervisor: Volunteers will report to the Program Supervisor
