Client Intake


Project Description:

The Client Intake program utilizes the Oasis database to streamline the sign in process for clients visiting a Central California Food Bank distribution. The Client Intake Coordinator works closely with a team of volunteers to ensure client information is accurately documented. The first step of the process is completing client intake forms at the food distribution site. After the intake forms are completed, they are input into the Oasis database.


Volunteers are vital to the data entry component. This opportunity offers volunteers training and experience in business administration and data entry. 



  • 14 years and older
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to maintain client and agency partner confidentiality
  • Must have access to own computer and internet, if volunteering from home
  • Must pass background check, as needed



  • Commit to volunteering at least 2 hours at a time
  • Possibility of volunteering from home once trained and some experience
  • Create new client profiles
  • Enter information from completed client information forms
  • Help create agency packets for client intake at distribution site

Volunteers with court-ordered community service hours are not eligible for this opportunity.
