Opportunity Name:
Refugee Services In-Kind Donation Pickup Team

Description:

Population Served:  Refugees

Position Description:

As one of only three refugee resettlement agencies in the state of Oregon, Catholic Charities provides resettlement and case management services to individuals and families who seek to make Oregon their new home. Our resettlement work dates back to the 1940s, when we began assisting individuals and families who had to leave their homelands due to the fear of persecution. Since the 1980s we have resettled more than 10,500 individuals.

Volunteers in the Donation Pick Up Team will help to make sure that a refugee family’s introduction to their new home will be a warm and welcome one by collecting donations to furnish their new homes. Collecting donations is a great way to meaningfully support recently arrived refugees without requiring a long-term commitment.
