Bear Hollow Zoo: Wildlife Education Intern

Project Description:
  • Training in a variety of animal related tasks

    • To present Bear Hollow’s standard education programs and tour
    • To handle and present Bear Hollow ambassador animals
    • Ambassador animal husbandry and enrichment
    • Ambassador animal training
  • Learn to create and present environmental education curriculum
  • Complete at least one legacy project
  • Administrative tasks



  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferred area of study: Ecology, Natural Resources, Wildlife, Agricultural Education, Education, or related field
  • Experience with children preferred
  • Must complete 120 hours of service

    • Over a 10 week period (12 hrs/week)
    • Schedule is flexible
      • Interns may work more hours and complete the program in less than 10 weeks
      • Must be available for at least 12 hours per week, as a minimum
  • Wildlife Education Programs Internship is an unpaid position
