Caring Network Support

Description: Caring Network Support Volunteers help sort and organize the large amount of donations received for women and children in the Caring Closet. Volunteers can also greet and assist families in choosing the items they need for their infants and children.

 

Time Commitment:  Hours and times are flexible during normal Caring Network hours, Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm. Any amount of time you are willing to give is greatly appreciated.  Can be weekly or bi-monthly.

 

Required skill/training: Ability to work independently.  Lift and move bins (5-10lbs.).  Good organizational/merchandising skills. Friendly, kind, and approachable.  A good listener.  You are comfortable talking with people and being a caring resource for those we serve.

 

Client Contact:  Volunteers interested in (client contact) shopping with women and children in the Caring Closet are required to have background clearances, Virtus training (Abuse prevention) TB test and R/R Titre screen (agency pays for).  Shadow lead-volunteers for additional training.
