Service Project Details

Ceramic Studio Assistants are ongoing and recurring volunteer roles that provide meaningful support to the arts programs offered at Sirovich, keeping our Ceramics classes open to the community.

We are asking for people to commit for at least three months to at least one class, weekly. Open times slots include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 1:30 – 4:30 PM, in-person.

People knowledgeable of ceramics are encouraged to apply. Tasks will include assisting students with their ceramic projects and learning general techniques, such as joining seams, using molds, and smoothing rims. Volunteers will also assist class instructors with responsibilities such as studio upkeep, material organization, ensuring students sign-in, and helping students by access supplies and answering questions.
