Project Description:

Volunteer position description:  Our office fairies provide support to clerical staff that will ease the workload of staff and allow for expansion of program services to further our mission of providing hope and opportunity to our community. Volunteers will receive on-the-job training and daily task assignments from agency staff.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Handling donor correspondences
  • Filing records
  • Preparing mailings
  • Marketing support
  • Data entry
  • Answering phones
  • Assisting clients with intake paperwork
  • Making copies

 

Schedule requirements: This position is available Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Volunteers must come in for at least 2 hour shifts

 

Commitment requirements: This position requires a diocesan background screening and a 6 month or 75 hour service commitment. Further instructions will be provided upon submission of an application for this position.

 

Qualifications:

  • A willingness to interact with people.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Have good computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are a plus.
  • Fluent in the English language.

 

Age Restrictions: This volunteer position is available to all volunteers age 18 or older.

 

Volunteer Supervisor: Your supervisor will be assigned depending on your program of choice. Possible programs include Emergency Family Assistance, Administration, or Immigration depending on current program needs.
