Service Project Details

The need for destination drivers is unpredictable, so we cannot assign an exact date to this opportunity. We are taking unlimited sign-ups and will reach out the everyone who has signed up when we have a family in need, with the hope that at least one of you will be able to fulfill the role at that exact time.

General Guidelines for Drivers

Provide safe, reliable transportation to FPM families to destinations within FPM’s program catchment area.
Designated trips include grocery stores, medical and dental appointments, school enrichment programs, camps, and other pertinent appointment or needs.

Key Responsibilities

Support families by providing reliable transportation to and from their destination
Ensure your vehicle is adequately fueled, and up to date on maintenance requirements.
Maintain family confidentiality.

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteer Orientation
Must be at least 21 years old
Demonstrates passion for the FPM mission and empathy for others.
Must be reliable and have good communication skills
Must come to FPM’s Day Center with Driver’s License to complete CORI check paperwork prior to first shift. You may do so any time between 9am-5pm, M-F. If you are unable to come between those hours, please contact barbara@familypromisemetrowest.org to schedule a time.
