As a volunteer with the Humane Society of York County (HSYC), I acknowledge and attest to the following: 

 

  1. I shall not hold the HSYC liable for any illness, injury or disease I might contract or sustain while working as a volunteer for the organization onsite at the rescue, at any HSYC-sponsored event, and/or while fostering; 
  1. that the information provided on my Volunteer Profile in CERVIS is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge; 
  1. that this Waiver of Liability must be completed prior to volunteering with HSYC; 
  1. that the HSYC reserves the right to withdraw the privilege of volunteering if safety guidelines and procedures are not adhered to; 
  1. that the Closed Volunteer Facebook page is where all updates and communications occur and therefore the ability to access this page is required; 
  1. that my likeness may be taken by photo and/or video during my tenure as a volunteer and I hereby grant permission to the HSYC to use my likeness for any purposes considered by the organization to support its mission; 
  1. that there are certain risks inherent in handling animals, and I accept those risks.
