Confidentiality Agreement

In connection with my volunteerism for The Open Door Network, I understand that I may come into contact with confidential and proprietary client and business information.  

I agree to receive and maintain confidential and proprietary information in confidence and not directly or indirectly make know, divulge, publish or communicate the confidential and/or proprietary information to any person, agency, firm or corporation during and after my time of volunteerism at The Open Door Network.

Acknowledgment of Exclusion and Release of Liability 

I acknowledge that my service to The Open Door Network, doing business as The Open Door Network, in the Volunteer Program will be voluntary. I understand that I will be a volunteer and not an employee for Worker’s Compensation claims as provided in section 3352 of the California Labor Code, or any other reason. I acknowledge that I will not be able to assert a claim for Worker’s Compensation benefits should I suffer an injury during the performance of my volunteer/community services duties. I agree to assume all risks connected with my volunteer/community services. I further agree to release The Open Door Network, its director, employees, volunteers or persons related to director, employees or volunteers, from any and all liability, claim, demand or cause of action or litigation arising out of personal injury, illness, death or property damage that I may suffer while performing volunteer/community services work.

I further agree that I will not name, or have named, any of the parties mentioned above as defendants or cross defendants in any litigation arising out of my volunteer/community services work. I further agree that I will save and hold harmless these parties from any other claims, demands and causes of action or litigation arising out of said services including but not limited to actual damages, general damages, punitive damages, attorney fees and cost suit.

Refusal to sign this release will result in my exclusion from participating in the Volunteer Program at The Open Door Network. 

Photo Release

Occasionally, photographs and videos of volunteers may be taken by The Open Door Network for promotional purposes to thank participants, encourage more volunteerism, or other similar purposes. 

I hereby give The Open Door Network, their assigns, licensees and legal representatives the irrevocable right to use my name and likeness, including composite or distorted representations, taken by any form of visual media to use for promotional, advertising, trade or any other lawful purposes in any form of media including, but not limited to, print and online communications.  I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy, that may be created in connection therewith.   manners including composite or distorted representations  in all forms of media and in all manners consent that all photographs or videos taken of me during my time as a volunteer may be used by The Open Door Network for the purpose advertising, promotion, or publication in any manner, in perpetuity, without royalty or compensation.  All photographs and videos will remain the property of The Open Door Network and may be requested by the volunteer for private use.

Additionally, I give consent for The Open Door Network to share on it's social platforms any photographs that have been taken during my time as a volunteer, then shared on my social media or other public platform.
